Yoga with Jill

I had the honor to meet and practice with Tao Porchon-Lynch in Phx, AZ. (2014) The following year I met her again at the Sedona Yoga Festival where we were both teaching. I remember her always saying “There is nothing you CANNOT do” as she was proudly posing in Mayurasana (peacock). Tao is now dancing with the Stars. Mahalo nui loa, Tao, for your beauty and grace, and for bringing this Ancient wisdom of Yoga to the West. She was the pioneer for women (yoginis) ~ truly a remarkable legend!

My Intention is to offer yoga instruction for overall wellness, flexibility, strength and relaxation. I create a safe and welcoming, non-judgemental space for everyone, including Body, Mind and Spiritual practices for on and off the yoga mat.

Styles of Yoga:

Blissful Yin ~ This slow and meditative floor style of yoga focuses on your fascia/connective tissues. Holding a shape (versus a yang posture) up to 3-5 mins will allow one to feel the pose at a deeper level. There are three different levels according to your practice (beginner’s to advanced). All levels welcome. Compliments the yang styles of yoga.

Restore and Rejuvenate ~ Restorative yoga emphasizes and releases the psoas muscle (lg muscle from Lumbar 4-5 to top of femur). This practice is mostly floor poses using LOTS of PROPS in order for you to RELAX. Restorative yoga is great for hikers, runners or those who sit (or drive) a lot during the day at work. Everyone can benefit from this juicy practice!

Pre/Post Natal ~ Mamas-to-be (child, business or idea!) OR recently given birth. Prenatal yoga helps with opening your hips preparing you to give birth. Gentle breath work will also be beneficial for your birthing experience. We will use plenty of props to keep you fully supported in the poses. *Please ask your Dr. before starting any new exercise program.

Yoga Nidra ~ Also, known as Yogic Sleep. You will be laying down on a yoga mat fully supported and able to let go and relax! This guided meditation practice allows you to go in between the brain states of sleep and awareness. This style is great for those with insomnia, sleeping disorders, anxiety, depression or a workaholic.
